The Beauty in Adult Diapers
The autumn can be a melancholy season. The trees lose their leaves, it grows colder and the nights grow longer. The year is dying.
But with such thoughts of waning, come also thoughts of rebirth. The cold months are a time for relaxation and enjoyment of family and friends. When we confront certain facts of life, there is bound to be some dismay at the truth of it all. But we cannot shy from the truth; we must embrace it entirely.
Adult diapers are a way of doing so. It may be sad or embarrassing to deal with incontinence but it is also a fact of life. Nothing can change it and so it must be accepted. It is easier to do so with a smile than a frown — no — it is easier to do so with a frown, but much less rewarding. It may be more difficult to smile and strap on Depends, but with a positive attitude and the idea that this is part of life, growing old and returning to a state of reliance, there’s something cyclical and beautiful about it, much like the seasons.
So when you wear your Depends, remember that it’s absurd, but because it is, it’s funny and beautiful too.
